‘…like you, (I) entered healthcare management (twenty years in hospital administration, consulting and eight managing medical practices)to help based on my non clinical skills. I worked largely in innercity hospitals and then transitioned to medical practice management. There I became more jaundiced with the attitudes of specialty physicians. Behind the scenes the focus of a surprising number of doctors was on paying patients, although periodically altrusim did shine through. I had to look carefully for the quiet ones who took care of patients and did not bluster at the closed door business meetings. When things got tough they would speak up, but only when really pushed. Rhetorically, I wonder why organized medicine, and our lofty management societies and associations don”t focus more on the caring side, the professional side, the hippocratic side.’

In this Supreme Court Decision, the basic players were a Macho male He-Man of a rough and rowdy nature, and a small 5″4′ male co-worker who became the brunt of Mr. Macho”s attentions, disdain and pranks. To say the Mr. Oncale was picked on understates the situation completely, and threats reached all the way to rape. Reds look like a vintage crop

No one seemed too sure who the brand new white Roller parked at Liverpool’s Melwood training ground yesterday actually belonged to but the registration plate was as aspirational as the badge on the front. ‘LFC1′ it read and since only goal difference divides Rafael Benitez’s side from Luiz Felipe Scolari’s Chelsea ahead of their encounter at Stamford Bridge tomorrow suggestions that Liverpool might wind up top of the pile are not looking quite as far-fetched as they were two months ago.

Actually Uganda is by African standards a moderate success story

It has pulled itself out of the abyss left behind by the tyranny and slaughter of Idi Amin (not an evangelical Christian by the way after being deposed he sought asylum in Saudi Arabia which may tell you something of his religious persuasion). It has its problems of course, one of which is fanatical cults which have led to tragic suicides and the horrible Lords Resistance Army which has nothing to do with Christian belief or practice as a brief reading of the Sermon on the Mount will soon tell you.
